George Orwell predicted in “1984” that the Government would limit thinking by forcing the populous to use “newspeak” words. One term of newspeak was “unperson”, where a person would be eliminated from history by erasing all references to them. His prophesy was wildly inaccurate. You may remember Trevor who once sensibly said “…for young people in this country, the sight of the Cross of St George being flown for a winning England team is a cause for widespread rejoicing”. Their England email address is englandhelpdesk@equalityhumanrights.com - it's not advertised anywhere but I was given it today when I chased up my complaint which they have no record of.
Interesting that they no longer have a .gov.uk email address - is that to try and make them look independent or has it all been privatised? Which has been given some similar powers to Trading Standards for taking legal action against companies. There's a similar situation with the RSPCA. It's privatised government - very Common Purpose.
